Judy grew up immersed in competitive swimming from a very young age. Her training schedule was demanding with practices beginning at 4:30 a.m. before school and back to the pool for a second 3 hour practice directly after school. It was hard and with many sacrifices. When she went to college, it was clear she no longer wanted to be a competitive swimmer. She tried all sorts of fitness classes including aerobics, core fusion classes as well as jogging. Although these various exercise modalities kept her in shape, she was left unfulfilled. Once she found yoga 8 years ago, she fell in love with the mindfulness that an intelligent class can foster. Opening yourself up to all of the amazing possibilities available in life and recognizing that all aspects of life can have deeper meaning, making all experiences that much greater. She has found that the philosophy's of yoga have helped to cultivate positive qualities and reduce negative emotions, opening her heart to greater things. After all of the beauty that has come into her life as a result of her practice, she was inspired to become certified yoga instructor and has recently completed the 200 hour certification through Saraswati's Yoga Joint. Judy's classes are vigorous with intelligent instruction on alignment. Mostly though, she has fun by changing up the classes to keep them fresh while allowing your practice to progress.
